Safety Information for Proper Use 

Congratulations for choosing The Floater Mat.
When used safely and correctly, The Floater Mat can provide hours of recreational fun.

This product is designed for recreational use in a large body of water only. Use it in an area that is out of the way of from boat traffic and free of obstructions such as weeds, rocks, logs, sandbars, high waves, or any other object that is an impediment to safe use. Do NOT use The Floater Mat on land or in swimming pools.

This product is intended for recreational use ONLY. Failure to comply with the warnings while using this product carries risk of personal injury or death.  The product has no brakes or steering devices. Persons who use this product assume all risk of injury or death.

Never tow, push, or pull The Floater Mat by any type of watercraft. Towing the mat could result in personal injury, death and/or damage to the mat.

When you find a safe place to use The Floater Mat, attach the leads directly to your own anchor or mooring device. If you plan to leave the mat in the water for any extended amount of time, it is recommended that you attach a highly-visible buoy or flags to it so it is visible to others.

The Floater Mat is NOT intended to be used as a flotation device for poor swimmers. It is recommended that all users wear a Canadian-approved personal flotation device (PFD) life-jacket before entering the water.

Children should be under adult supervision at all times. Use The Floater Mat only under mature adult supervision. Never play on The Floater Mat alone.

Exercise common sense while using The Floater Mat. Do not allow horseplay.

Never use The Floater Mat while tired or fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Use caution when swimming between the shore and The Floater Mat. Do not attempt to swim this distance if you are tired or fatigued.

Maximum jumping/playing load is:

The Senior Floater Mat : buoyancy of 1300 lbs (590 kg)

The Grand Daddy Floater Mat : buoyancy of 1500 lbs (680 kg)

The Dock Floater Mat : buoyancy of 2500 lbs (1135 kg)

Never play or swim under The Floater Mat. Never dive from The Floater Mat.

Do not use The Floater Mat after dark or in stormy weather. Never store or use The Floater Mat in low-light conditions.

Before each use, carefully inspect the mat, tethers, cords, anchor and hardware to be sure everything is in good repair and safe to use.

Your Floater Mat should always be visible when it is in the water. Use brightly-coloured buoys or flags to ensure visibility.

If your Floater Mat is anchored, take precautions to eliminate all activities that could result in entanglement in the ropes and/or anchoring device.

Always secure The Floater Mat against unauthorized use or unsupervised use. Always remove The Floater Mat when not in use to avoid unauthorized or unsupervised use. Do not leave the mat on the water year-round.

Do not use The Floater Mat to run and jump off of a deck, raft or trampoline.

The Floater Mat (& Junior Floater Mat)
Care and Maintenance

Your Floater Mat is easy set-up and maintain. It is made from polyethylene foam and requires no other flotation device or air.

Remove any substances or materials that could scratch, scuff, or tear the mat. Wipe the mat clean.

To preserve the mat’s surface and colour, reduce exposure to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. UV rays can damage the surface, cause fading, and may haze the surface of the mat.

Prolong the life and look of your Floater Mat, keep it dry and out of direct sunlight when not in use

To store your Floater Mat for long periods of time, remove it from the water and allow it to fully dry. Roll it up and secure it with the Velcro straps. Store it in a dry location that is out of the elements and away from the shore.

Directions For Anchor Installation

Move 14 inches(35.5 cm) in from edge & 36 inches(91.4 cm) from side of The Floater Mat

Punch hole with screwdriver through The Floater Mat

Insert grommet through hole and screw grommet together
